One suspect has been arrested in connection with the vandalisation of a house in the Batapola area at around 11:30 last night (Mar 09).
According to the police, a gang had arrived on four motorcycles and opened fire at a house while also damaging the property in its vicinity.
Police had utilised the assisstance of CCTV footage to trace the number plates of the motorcycles and had subsequently arrested one suspect.
Investigations are currently underway to apprehend the other suspects involved in the shooting.
