A 69 year old individual from Dayagama West Plantation Unit in Akkarapathana was killed due to wasp attack yesterday when he went to collect firewood in nearby land, Police said.
Dayagama Police Officer in Charge (OIC) Sujeeva Gunathilaka said that the victim was pronounced dead on the admission to the hospital and further investigations are underway. (P.Kethees)
