An individual has been arrested at the Central Mail Exchange with ecstasy pills smuggled from Portugal worth more than Rs 15 million today (Jul 30).
The suspect, a 27-year old resident of Colombo had been taken into custody when he had arrived to collect the parcel, customs spokesman Sunil Jayaratne said.
According to the spokesman, a total of 3050 pills were found to have been concealed inside a toy.
Further investigations continue.
