An online system will be launched in October to provide details on the shortage of teachers and determine the number of available seats for student admissions in government schools, Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.
The Education Minister noted that teachers will be given access to this online portal of the Education Ministry and also be allowed to apply for transfers to different schools.
Mr. Kariyawasam said that this system would ensure transparency in the recruitment of teachers and the enrolment of students as well.
