Opposition leader R. Sampanthan appointed co-chairman of Trincomalee District Development
Opposition leader R. Sampanthan has been appointed as the co-chairman of Trincomalee District Development Committee(TDDC) by the President, local media reported.
Further, Eastern Chief Minister Nasir Ahmad and Trincomalee District UNP Parliamentarian M.A.M.Maharoof had also been appointed to this committee.
The inaugural session of the Trincomalee District Development Committee will be held in the first week of next January, Secretary of the committee N.A.A. Pushpakumara stated.
