Over 1.2 million plastic bottles collected from Sri Pada

Officials from the Ambagamuwa Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) and the Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC) have collected a staggering 1.2 million discarded plastic bottles from Sri Pada since the start of the annual pilgrimage season in December. 

The collected bottles are being taken to the recycling centre maintained by the Ambagamuwa PS and the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) in Nallathanniya.
