Army Commander Lt Gen Shavindra Silva today said that as many as 1,500 persons who arrived to the country between March 1 -9 are still out without undergoing a quarantine process.
He said that of them about 800 were in the Puttalam district.
The Army commander appealed to them to follow instructions and register so they could go through a quarantine process.
Earlier the government called all those who arrived in the country between March 1 -9 to regiser and undergo a quarantine process.
By last evening over 500 had already registered.
