Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif opened a three day visit today evening, and was received by his Sri Lankan counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Bandaranaike International Airport at Katunayake along with several other cabinet ministers.
The official ceremony to welcome him will take place tomorrow at the Presidential secretariat followed by Official talks with President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Wickremesinghe
Thereafter signing of a string of agreements between the two countries on the fields of Trade, science and technology, cultural affairs and health among other subjects will take place.
This evening the Premier was hosted to a dinner by the Pakistan High Commission Colombo. Captured here are scenes from the evening.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
