Parliament will debate an adjournment motion presented by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) till 5.30pm today (5). The motion is on the impact caused to the country by the President's actions since October 26.

Parliament will debate an adjournment motion presented by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) till 5.30pm today (5). The motion is on the impact caused to the country by the President's actions since October 26.
JVP MP Dr Nalinda Jayathissa presented the motion and JVP MP Vijitha Herath seconded it.
MPs have agreed to forgo lunch and debate the motion.
Meanwhile, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya adjourned Parliament till 1.00 pm on December 12.
