Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has convened a meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business tomorrow (Nov 20), the Parliament's Communication Department said in a press release.
The meeting will take place at the Parliamentary Complex at 11 am.
Matters concerning future parliamentary activities are expected to be discussed at the meeting.
This is in the backdrop of political parties considering to dissolve Parliament following the election of opposition party candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the country's Seventh Executive President.
Sri Lanka's constitution grants the Parliament a term of five years which will end in August 2020.
However, the Parliament could be dissolved by the President on March 1, 2020 after completing four-and-a-half years, or by obtaining a two-thirds majority in Parliament.
The Parliament could continue to function until the next Parliamentary election if the government parliamentarians switch sides.
