Public Health Inspectors are to be given an opportunity to extend their training period and complete a degree, the President’s office said today.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa gave the assurance when a selected number of PHI’s were handed over motorcycles. That was part of a group of 749 PHI’s who are to be given bikes.
The President said in consultation with the Health Ministry he hopes to extend the two year training programme so that the the PHI’s could complete a degree.
