Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe told Parliament today that if any policemen are found to have attacked disabled servicemen near the Presidential Secretariat last week they could face expulsion from service.
He said this is response to a query raised by UPFA MP Dinesh Gunawardena who raised the question regarding the tear gas attack on a group of disabled soldiers who were holding a protest demanding their pension rights.
He said the incident will be investigated further before action is taken against those who harmed the former servicemen.
