A Police Inspector attached to the Bambalapitiya Police Field Force has been further remanded until March 01 for soliciting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
The remand order was issued when the case was taken up before the Colombo Chief Magistrates Court today (Feb 18).
Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne while issuing the verdict had said that court would deliver an announcement concerning the release of the suspect on bail during the next hearing.

He was arrested while obtaining Rs 50,000 of the total bribe, Bribery Commission officials told court.
