Police officer killed in accident

News

A police officer was killed during the early hours of today (Sept 11) in an accident involving a jeep and a bowser in Mawanella.

The accident had occured when the bowser had collided with a jeep which had been parked along the Kandy road.

According to the Police, the incident had taken place at 12:45 am.

Two other police officers who had sustained injuries have been admitted to the Mawanella hospital.
