Police have sought the assistance of the public to locate a suspect involved in defrauding a Finance Company of Rs 4 million in Kollupitiya.
Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said the suspect posing as an employee of the company had obtained the cash from a customer who had arrived to purchase two vehicles.
These vehicles had been retrieved from their owners after they had failed to pay their due finance amounts to the company.
Police have released snapshots from a CCTV footage in order to identify the suspect.
Any individual who is in possession of details concerning the wanted individual can contact the Superintendent of the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau on 011 - 2673581 / 011 2675651.
