Precautions taken to ensure navy personnel won't spread COVID-19 - Navy Commander

News

Navy Commander Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva says the navy has taken all possible precautions to ensure that there is no widespread COVID-19 outbreak among the public due to infected navy personnel.

Issuing a special statement, the Navy Commander noted that all navy personnel who were on leave have been recalled to their camps.

"The navy has taken steps to direct infected personnel to hospitals and to quarantine and isolate the others. We have also taken steps to quarantine the family members of infected personnel," he further stressed.

Vice Admiral De Silva said they hoped that all navy personnel would recover quickly and be back on duty to serve the nation.
