President announces relief: Dhal and canned fish reduced
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa while declaring that holding fresh elections were important to provide benefits to the people offered relief to the public.
Accordingly a maximum retail price for dhal of Rs 65 per kilo gram and Rs 100 for a tin of canned fish was announced by the president.
In address to the nation he explained steps taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The president also said that repayment of loans to banks and financial institutions have been differed by six months.
