President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed three representatives to attend the 40th United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) session in Geneva.
The appointees include Parliamentarians Sarath Amunugama and Mahinda Samarasinghe and Northern Province Governor Suren Raghvan.
Mr. Sirisena announced these names at a special meeting with heads of media institutions this morning.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
