President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today (Nov 20) undertook a visit to the Sri Dalada Maligawa Temple in Kandy - his first visit to the district after assuming office.
The President is expected to pay homage to the Chief Prelates of the Asigiri and Malwathu Chapters after engaging in religious observances at the temple.
Rajapaksa took office at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday, after registering victory at last week's presidential election, securing arond 52 percent of the votes.
