President Maithripala Sirisena has given necessary instructions to the secretaries of all ministries to ensure the functioning of the public service without any disruptions.
Issuing a press release, the President's media division said the President had met with the ministries secretaries today (Dec 04) following yesterday's interim injuction issued by the appeal court which temporarily barred the Prime Minister and the cabinet of ministers from holding office.
President Sirisena had also issued relevant instructions to all public servants, tri-forces and the police to serve the people and ensure the security of the country.
