A discussion is to be held with the Attorney General today (May 02) on the findings of the presidential committee which was appointed to investigate into the Easter Sunday terror attacks, President Maithripala Sirisena said yesterday.
The President, while addressing an event in Colombo said that the three-member committee had submitted its report containing its findings yesterday,
During his address, the President had reiterated that action would be taken against the responsible individuals who did not intervene and take necessary action to prevent the carnage.
Instructions have also been issued to deploy additional personnel in the vicinity of schools as well as religious places of worship, the President's Media Division said.
Mr. Sirisena had issued these instructions to the Insepctor General of Police and the Commanders of the Tri-Forces after having considered the current situation of the country.
