The proceedings of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Central Bank bond issue were suspended today in order to seek the advice of the Attorney General.
Reports say the proceedings were suspended as the Commission wanted to seek advice from the AG's Department regarding the presence of lawyers from Perpetual Treasuries, the primary leader under probe in the bond issue at the hearing.
The Commission comprises Supreme Court Judges K. T. Chitrasiri, Prasanna Sujeewa Jayawardena and former Deputy Auditor General Kandasamy Velupillai.
