Voting for the presidential election to elect Sri Lanka's Seventh Executive President, concluded at 5 pm today (Nov 16).
The poll, which saw 35 candidates contesting for the top job in the country, had taken place across 12,845 voting centres from 7 am.
More than 25,000 police personnel had been deployed for security during the election.
A 2.2 feet long ballot paper along with plastic and cardboard ballot boxes had been used during the election due to the high number of candidates.
