Lalith Kumara, a prisons officer, who was deported from Dubai recently has been further remanded until April 10.
This was announced when the suspect was produced before the Kalutara Chief Magistrates court today.
Mr. Kumara was questioned by the Criminal Investigations Department upon his arrival on April 02 following which he was produced before the Colombo Crimes Division for further questioning.
He was remanded until April 05 after being produced before the Kalutara Magistrates Court.
Meanwhile, the services of the prison officer has also been suspended, the Prisons Department announced following his arrest.
