Pharmacists at the Puttalam Base Hospital today (2) commenced a programme to deliver medicines to the villages some 20, 000 patients who obtain treatment at the hospital's clinics.
The patients have obtained treatment from 12 clinics operated by the hospital.
Hospital Director Dr Sumith Attanayake stated that they have implemented the programme to deliver medicines securely to the villages of the patients given the current situation in the country.
