Mahinda Rajapaksa taking to his official Facebook page has said that the biased attitude of the Speaker was the prime cause for today's tense situation in Parliament.
Mr. Rajapaksa also urged that a General Election be held as soon as possible to establish a stable government that respects the public .
Meanwhile, MP Harsha De Silva responding to Rajapaksa's comments told media that a free and fair election cannot be expected from the Rajapaksa fraction as they do not allow a proper poll to take place in Parliament.
