Rajitha to appear before Police Unit of Presidential Commission

News

Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne has been asked to appear before the Police Unit of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing state sector corruption today (Sept 19) owing to a complaint concerning the Dr Neville Fernando Hospital.

Government Medical Officer's Association (GMOA) General Secretary Dr. Haritha Aluthge had filed a complaint claiming that the government has been incurring expenses on behalf of the hospital without acquiring it.

Accordingly, Minister Senaratne is expected to arrive at the Police Unit of the Commission at 1:30 pm, a spokesman for the Commission said.
