United National Party (UNP) leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has sought a report from his party on former UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa's defeat at the presidential election.
Wickremesinghe, in a letter to UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam had instructed that the report be submitted within two weeks, sources said.
The instruction comes in the wake of alleged allegations that funds belonging to Premadasa's campaign team had been misused in the run-up to the presidential poll.
