The University of Sri Jayawardenapura has announced that academic sessions have been postponed until further notice despite tentative arrangements which were made to re-open the facility next week.
"All academic activities, postgraduate programmes, and external degree programmes have been postponed until further notice. Students are also advised to refrain from using the hostel during this time period," Vice- Chancellor (Acting) Senior Professor Sudantha Liyanage said in a special press release.
The Vice Chancellor noted that this decision was made after reconsidering the existing security situation in the country. Accordingly, the previous recommencement schedule which was released by the University will not be in effect next week.
