The report on the carbon dating test which was carried out on bone samples from the mannar mass grave was submitted before the Mannar Magistrates Court today (Feb 20).
The samples were sent to the BETA Analytics Department in Florida, US for testing purposes following which its report was sent last Friday.
Last week, Office of Missing Persons (OMP) Chairman Presidents Counsel Saliya Peiris said that the DNA of the relatives of missing persons would be tested if the report reveals that the remains are of those who had died recently.
