The report comprising recommendations for the restructuring of SriLankan Airlines was submitted to President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (Jan 28).
State Minister Eran Wickremaratne submitted the report which was compiled by a 12-member special committee appointed by the President.
Liquidation, re-establishment of the company, debt restructuring, and the generation of capital were some of the areas covered by the report.
The national air carrier would be able to function in a proper manner if debt restructuring and measures to generate capital were adopted, State Minister Eran Wickremaratne said.
