Commuter Transport Management Minister Mahinda Amaraweera today
introduced a system which allows government pensioners to make online reservations on trains on their warrants.
With the introduction of online E ticketing service the government pensioners can now obtain their train tickets via online .
The minister said in the past the pensioners faced difficulties in reserving their tickets. Earlier it was issued by the railway department on the recommendation provided by the Grama Niladhari and approval of the Divisional Secretary of the particular division.
The inauguration ceremony to commence the initiatives was held today (19) under the patronage of the Minister .
