Large scale rice mill owners have agreed to provide rice at concessionary rates to consumers during this festive season.
This decision was taken at a meeting with the large scale rice mill owners at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (Dec 10).
Accordingly, one kilo of Nadu rice will be sold at a maximum retail price of Rs. 98. While a one kilo of Samba rice will be sold at a maximum retail price of Rs. 99
The decision of the large scale rice mill owners to provide rice at concessionary prices during this festive season will enable the consumers to purchase rice without any shortage, the Finance MInistry said in a statemnt.
Accordingly, the distribution of rice at concessionary prices will take place from today (Dec 11).
