A construction worker died when a mound of earth fell on him during the construction of a bridge on the Piramantaru-Vishwamadu road in Kilinochci yesterday (30).
Investigations have revealed that the worker attached to a private contractor had been under the bridge when the road caved in and the soil fell on him.
The deceased, a father of one (36) is from Dharmapuram West area in Kilinochchi.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Kilinochchi Police.
