Speaker Karu Jayasuriya signed the Right to Information (RTI) Bill on Monday which was passed unanimously in the House on June 24 with amendments, Government Information Department said.
Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Gayantha Karunathilake said that necessary actions will be taken to enforce the Act within six months as mentioned in the Act.
