Former United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) parliamentarian Sajin Vass Gunawardene was remanded further until August 4 by Colombo Fort Magistrate Court today. Colombo Fort Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage refused a bail application claiming that he is having health issues at the remand prison. Mr Gunawardene was charged over the misuse of state vehicles attached to the president Secretariat when former president Mahinda Rajapaksa was in power.
