Housing Minister Sajith Premadasa who was asked to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing state sector corruption arrived a short while ago today (Sept 23).
He is due to give evidence over a complaint filed stating that he had unlawfully recruited excessive staff as assistant managers at the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA).
A former administrative officer while giving evidence before the Commission, previously claimed that the NHDA had recruited unauthorized staff exceeding its quota by 95 percent.
The PCoI is probing state alleged acts of corruption in state institutions under the current government between 2015 and 2015
