Former Deputy Minister Sarana Gunawardena 's passport was impounded by the Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya. The order was issued following a complaint over a fraud committed at the National Lottery Board when he was the chairman. Over 100 charges have been brought against him. The Magistrate also issued notice to the former deputy minister to personally appear before the Court on February 11.
