A school student has been killed in an accident involving a car and a motorcycle in Habarana yesterday (Sept 30).
Police said that a car heading towards Trincomalee along the Habarana - Trincomalee road had collided with the motorcycle on which the student had been travelling.
The victim, a 13-year old had died upon admission to the Kantale hospital.
Meanwhile, the car driver involved in the accident has been taken into custody. Further investigations are currently underway.
