The Education Ministry has made arrangements for seven Sri Lankan athletes to sit for this year’s G C E Ordinary Level (O/L) exam from Nepal.
Issuing a statement, the Ministry said that these students will be taking part at the 13th South Asian Games scheduled to be held in December.
Accordingly, the Examinations Department in collaboration with the Foreign Ministry have taken steps to conduct the exam at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Nepal.
The ministry emphasized that the exam would be conducted under general regulations, simultaneously to the exam times in Sri Lanka, and would be supervised by a team of senior officials from the Examinations Department.
The National Olympic Committee will bear the cost for travel fares and accommodation of the supervisors, the statement noted.
This year's G C E O/L exam will be held from December 2 until December 12.
