Shanil Neththikumara's FR Petition dismissed by SC

The Supreme Court today dismissed the Fundamental Rights Petition filed by Shanil Neththikumara seeking an order to prevent his arrest for allegedly threatening a witness in the Treasury Bond investigation. 

Neththikumara had filed the FR petition stating that attempts were being made to arrest him for threatening Anika Wijesuriya, who had rented out a penthouse at Monarch Residencies to former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and his family. 

Ms Wijesuriya later testified before the Commission of Inquiry into the Treasury Bond issue regarding the matter.
