The passport and National Identity Card (NIC) of Shashi Weerawansa, which had been impounded by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court, have gone missing, it emerged today.
The Deputy Solicitor General, who appeared on behalf of the Attorney General, requested the Magistrate to immediately investigate how the documents went missing.
Shashi Weerawansa, wife of MP Wimal Weerawansa, is accused of obtaining two passports, including a diplomatic passport, after submitting forged documents.
