Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts, today, the Meteorology Department said.
According to them Showers or thundershowers are expected at several places in Central, Uva, North-central and Eastern provinces and in Hambanthota district after 1.00 p.m.
As a result it is likely to have an impact on the voter turnout.
Apart from that the Met Department also added Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places elsewhere of the island during the night.
