Several spells of showers will occur in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts tomorrow while fairly heavy falls about 50 mm can be expected at some places in Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces. , Department of Meteorology said in its weather forecast.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Uva province and in Batticaloa and Ampara districts after 2.00 p.m. Fairly strong gusty winds up to 40-50 kmph can be expected in Hambantota district.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
