Showers are expected to enhance in several areas from tomorrow (Oct 26) due to an atmospheric disturbance in the South-East region of the country, the Meteorological Department said.
In its latest weather forecast issued this afternoon, the Department said that the Northern, Eastern, North-Central, and Uva provinces are likely to receive upto 100mm (four inches) of rainfall tomorrow.
Other areas in the country too can experience showers after 1 pm, the forecast read.
Meanwhile, fishermen have been cautioned of heavy winds between 70 to 80 kmph in the seas off Batticaloa to Hambantota through Pottuvil, until 9:30 pm.
