Showers or thunder showers will occur at several places over most provinces except Northern and Eastern provinces today after 2.00 pm, according to the Met. Department.
A few showers are expected in the Western and Southern coastal area in the morning too. Fairly heavy falls (above 50mm) are also likely at some places.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
