President Maithripala Sirisena handed over a letter of appointment to Ms. Nishanthi Sivaloganathan, a Graduate of the University of Jaffna, and the elder sister of Vidya Sivaloganathan who was murdered in Punkuduthivu, Jaffna three years ago.
This letter of appointment was handed over to her fulfilling a promise made by the President when he visited the residence of Vidya during a tour Vavuniya last year. Mrs. Swineetha Weerasinghe, a veteran actress and the Vice President of the Vidya Foundation and Mrs. Saraswathi Sivaloganathan, the mother of Vidya were present on this occasion.
