Sri Lanka will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chinese government for a USD 1 billion (Rs 178 billion) loan from the Chinese Exim Bank for the construction of the first phase of the Central Expressway project tomorrow (Mar 22).
The first phase of the Central Expressway project will stretch across 37.09 km from Kadawatha to Mirigama.
Finance Secretary Dr. R.H.S Samaratunga will sign the agreement on behalf of Sri Lanka along with top officials representing the Chinese government.
The MoU will be signed at the premises of the Finance Ministry.
