The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) will engage in more talks on their proposed alliance, party members said.
Yesteday (Sept 6), representatives of both parties had met for their eigth round of talks which went on for about two hours.
The SLFP was represented by Mahinda Amaraweera and Lasantha Alagiyawanna while Basil Rajapaksa and Bandula Gunawardena represented the SLPP.
Meanwhile, the SLFP representatives also met with SLPP presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa as well.
