The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has decided to initiate disciplinary action against five of its national list Parliamentarians for defecting from the party recently.
The parliamentarians are S.B. Dissanayake, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Vijith Vijayamuni Soyza, Dilan Perera, and A.H.M. Fowzie.
Addressing a press briefing today (Sept 04) SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara said that these parliamentarians have been asked to show cause, within a week, over their decision to change parties.
